Sabres Take on Red-Hot Wings

The Red Wings come into Buffalo with a six game winning streak on the line and eight wins in the last 10.

For the Sabres, they are looking to recover from a 2-1 loss against the Islanders. Tonight, they will have some players back from injury looking to make an impact.

Patrick Kaleta and Tyler Ennis are both expected to be in the lineup against Detroit.

Backing up Jhonas Enroth will be Ryan Miller, who is working his way back into the lineup.

“I haven’t even sat down and talked to the coaches about (a return date) because I haven’t finalized anything with the doctors. They want to know how I feel after some really intense days of practice.” – Miller on the timetable for his return from concussion.

The Sabres are 7th in the Eastern Conference but Ottawa is one point behind them and there’s not much room for more losses.

Ville Leino has been criticized since the start of the season, and for good reason.

He has six points in 24 games this season. A pair of goals and four assists in not what many were hoping for when Buffalo signed him in the offseason.

How much longer can he play like this before we can start to worry? Maybe he can get it going in the month of December.

Tonight’s game is set for 7:30 p.m. and will air on the NHL Network.
