Sabres Hockey Central was founded in 2008 and this was the man who started it all. After starting a blog just for fun and to practice writing, it quickly turned into an obsession and has helped make SHC a legitimate site for Sabres coverage. Since then, the site has picked up speed and has transformed into a credentialed, professional website.

Kevin has been a Sabres fan all his life, but really started watching during the late 90’s, when Dominik Hasek was carrying the team and Michael Peca was captain. He was in the fifth grade when he decorated his desk with Sabres memorabilia during the Cup run with one of his favorite slogans at the time, “The Sabres are the real stars.”

Kevin is currently 28 years old and has put countless hours and days into this site. Some of his favorite players over recent years include Chris Drury, Patrick Kaleta and Sam Reinhart.

Jeff has been a puckhead since attending his first Sabres game at the Aud in 1976 against the Habs. Growing up, he followed every game he could, be it on television, radio or in person at the game. In the early 80s, his family had two season tickets in section six of the upper blues.   Having attended hundreds, if not thousands of games, he does have a few favorites.

There was the epic quadruple overtime game against the Devils, when Dave Hannan’s backhand over Brodeur gave the Sabres a 1-0 win. Also, Wayne Gretzky posting a hat trick as he broke Phil Esposito’s goal scoring record in a single season against the Sabres in 1982. Lost in the game, was Perreault also netting a hat trick.

Some of Jeff’s favorite Sabres include Gilbert Perreault, Mike Ramsey, John Van Boxmeer, Hannu Virta and Pat LaFontaine. He’s attended games in Toronto, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Arizona.

Jeff works in New York City and currently lives on Long Island. He gets back to Buffalo for a game or two every year and makes sure to hit Chefs for spaghetti parm pre-game.

He hopes the Sabres win the Cup in his lifetime. We can all dream.
