Good news: This past week saw the Buffalo Sabres finally record their first win of the 2013-14 NHL season. Bad news: Buffalo failed to record a point in the three other games they played this week.

After three weeks of hockey, the Sabres have 3 points (1-8-1). They are 8th in the Atlantic Division and 15th in the Eastern Conference.

A shootout win to me is nothing to be proud of. The shootout has ruined the game of hockey. 1-8-1 is not a record to be proud of either. Playing lackluster, uninspired hockey is nothing to be proud of. This is a weak team with a weak coach trying to instill a weak system. It’s sad that the farm team has more wins and points than the big team.
