Ehrhoff Out; Enroth to Start

The Buffalo Sabres had a game-day skate this morning, and plenty of news was to be had.

First off, head coach Lindy Ruff ruled out defenseman Christian Ehrhoff for tonight’s game.

Ehrhoff suffered an undisclosed injury last Sunday versus Florida.

This news further solidifies why the Sabres called up defenseman Adam Pardy last night, who is obviously set to make his Sabres debut tonight.

Obviously without Ehrhoff and with Pardy, the defensive pairings will be different. Although these are not confirmed, John Vogl gives us a good idea of what we might be seeing this evening.

Sabres’ latest drill has defense pairings of Pardy-Myers, Leopold-Weber and Brennan-Sulzer.

Secondly, Ruff would also name Jhonas Enroth (0-1-0) as tonight’s starter.

The Sabres will need a strong effort from Enroth this evening, who struggled in two appearances this season.

Missing ehroff will hurt he has been one of the best dmen for us this year. Brining up pardy is big he's a big body and plays hard at least from what I have seen at Rochester games. Miller needs a rest to get back on his game and in the past Enroth has been good against divisional opponents in the past, if we get some other scoring and better play from defensemen will be good. It is good to see Myers and Leopold splt up though, they haven't been playing their best and keeping them together was just a bad line all around.

I don't think Ruff knows what to do and he is just guessing now.... I love my Sabres and i will back them whatever they do but I think Miller should be in tonight, Ottawa has been good this season and I get nervious when Enroth starts.... I honestly think that Enroth is not happy with being on our team, thats the kind of vibe I get from Enroth's personality
